Volunteer Committees
In addition to our steering committee, we are fortunate to have many additional volunteers that help to make our work in NYC possible. Volunteers can join the following committees depending on their interests:
Events Committee: Plans and executes both internal and external events. Internal events include workshops and seminars for member engagement and skill-building. External events include public debates, movie screenings, and community events that promote Braver Angels' mission. Ideal for those interested in training for national roles such as Workshop Moderator and Events Organizer.
Outreach Committee: Focuses on internal and external outreach efforts. Internally, members welcome new members through one-on-one introduction calls. Externally, the committee organizes social events like happy hours, invites partner organizations, maintains communication with existing partners, and builds new partnerships. This role may also involve collaborating with the BA NYC Social Media leader. Ideal for those interested in becoming a Braver Angels ambassador.
